About the exhibition
Moti Penn has used colored pencils in his paintings, based on the collages he has created, searching personal and special composition.
Collages are used as sketches and as preliminary works to finalize ideas and colors, hues and patterns – searching for essence, checking personal expression.
Painting according to collages let the artist to concentrate directly in his final work, in his personal expression and emotional involvement, thus the morphological idea is already drawn, prepared and stylized in the collage, as in a work model.

Moti Penn paints and draws using colored pencils, also for huge paintings that cover a whole wall.
As drafts to his paintings he prepares collages that are used as sketches and as preliminary works to find subjects, ideas, colors, hues and textures, and that allow him to express directly the complete work, using colored pencils. ……..

על התערוכה
''הרישומים והציורים שלי נעשו באמצאות שימוש בעפרונות צבעוניים ע"פ קולאג'ים שיצרתי. הקולאג'ים משמשים לי כסקיצות, כאמצעי לחיפוש נושאים, רעיונות, צבעים, גוונים ומרקמים – בצורה רציונלית ופסיכולוגית. חיפוש של מהות ובדיקת כיווני ביטוי.
הציור ע''פ הקולאג' מאפשר לי להתרכז בביטוי האישי הרגשי והנפשי, בגודל הנכון, תוך כדי טיפול, נגיעה וצרופים – בצורה ישירה, באמצאות העפרון הצבעוני, כאשר הרעיון הצורני, עוצב ונוצר כבר בקולאג' המשמש כמודל עבודה.''

מוטי פן מצייר ורושם בעפרונות צבעוניים, גם כשמדובר בתמונות ענק שמכסות קירות שלמים.
את הסקיצות לציוריו הוא מכין מקולאג'ים שמשמשים כאמצעי לחיפוש נושאים, רעיונות, צבעים, גוונים ומרקמים ושמאפשרים לו לבטא בצורה ישירה את היצירה המוגמרת,באמתעות העפרון הצבעוניים. ......
